Container Operators Association in Nhava Sheva to strike from 9 September 2024

As the Indian government has come to an agreement with the Union of Container Operators Association in Nhava Sheva, the strike has been called off.

The Union of Container Operators Association (truckers) at Nhava Sheva has called a strike from 9 September 2024 until the Government of India and the union reach an agreement.
Nhava Sheva is one of India's largest ports, handling roughly 50% of the country's annual containerised volumes. This action will affect trucking-related activities in Nhava Sheva:
- First and last-mile trucking
- Port to CFS and vice versa
- Empty container placement
If the strike occurs, it will significantly disrupt import and export operations, potentially leading to congestion and inventory pile-up. We advise our customers to consider the possibility of delays and provide us with real-time forecasts to aid us in shipment planning and minimise the impact on your supply chain while ensuring the safety of our employees, subcontractors, and your goods.
