Toll Aviation will support the delivery of critical aeromedical retrieval services across Northern Australia as part of a new long-term partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT (RFDS SA/NT).
RFDS SA/NT has been awarded the new Top End Medical Retrieval Service (TEMRS) contract by the Northern Territory Government, securing the provision of aeromedical retrieval and inter-hospital transfer services across the Top End, Big Rivers and East Arnhem regions for the next 10 years.
As RFDS's rotary-wing aviation partner, Toll Aviation will provide specialist helicopter capability to support the delivery of these critical services, helping connect patients in remote and regional communities with access to urgent medical care.
The service is expected to support more than 4,500 patients annually across some of Australia's most remote and geographically challenging operating environments.
"We are proud to support RFDS in delivering this vital service for communities across the Northern Territory," said Scott Watkins, Senior Vice President Toll Aviation.

"This partnership brings together RFDS's extensive aeromedical expertise and Toll Aviation's specialist rotary-wing capabilities, helping ensure patients can access critical care when and where they need it most.
"For many remote communities, aeromedical retrieval services are a lifeline. We look forward to supporting RFDS in continuing this essential work for the next decade."
The partnership builds on Toll Aviation's long history of delivering specialised aviation services in complex and remote operating environments across Australia, including emergency response, search and rescue, offshore operations and government aviation services.
The new contract is scheduled to commence on 1 July 2027, following a transition period led by RFDS SA/NT and its partners.
Toll Group look forward to working alongside RFDS SA/NT, the Northern Territory Government and local stakeholders to support the continued delivery of safe, reliable and responsive aeromedical services across the region.
