This year’s Sustainability Report comes at an exciting time in Toll’s sustainability journey, as the company launches its new sustainability strategy and the key strategic pillars to deliver on it: People, Planet and Community.
Chief Enterprise Services Officer Anna Green commented, “This is a transformative time for Toll Group as we lay out our new sustainability strategy. Our commitment to our people, planet, and communities is unwavering, and we recognise that it is our responsibility to lead the logistics industry towards a more sustainable future.”
Key highlights from Toll’s FY24 initiatives include:
- The launch of its first hydrogen-powered long-haul truck in China.
- Partnership with top universities in Singapore to explore innovation in supply chain technologies.
- Opening new Global Forwarding branches in Poznan and Krakow, Poland, alongside a new healthcare warehouse and distribution facility in Australia .
- Expansion of our female driver program to enhance gender diversity across the organisation.
- Implementation of Toll’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan in Australia.
- A 27% reduction in the global Critical Incident Frequency Rate, exceeding the company’s target of 10%.
Looking ahead to FY25, Ms Green added, “With the solid foundation we’ve built, Toll is poised to continue our journey towards sustainability. Our parent company, Japan Post, has committed to the Science Based Targets Initiative, and we are currently updating our decarbonisation roadmaps to set actionable near-term targets.
“In addition, our efforts to broaden and deepen relationships with government and industry bodies will drive sector-wide transformation. The health and well-being of our people remain a top priority, and we are committed to continuous improvement in this area.
“We look forward to sharing further progress in FY25 as we continue to innovate and lead in sustainable practices,” Ms Green said.
